EXAPLES OF SQL COMMANDS

Lets start SQL commands with best and simple examples:

  • SQL Syntax:- SELECT Column-name, Column-name,......,       FROM table-name;
                               or you can use this:-
                               SELECT* FROM table-name;    
                               For Example:
                               SELECT Customer name, City FROM Customer;
     
  • SQL Syntax:-  SELECT DISTINCT Column-name, Column-name  FROM table -name;
                               For Example:
                              SELECT DISTINCT city FROM Customers;
  • SQL Syntax:- SELECT Column-name, Column-name,......,    FROM table-name;
                                WHERE Column-name,Operator value;
                                 For Example:
                                 SELECT* FROM CUSTOMERS
                                 WHERE Country ='INDIA';
Note:- * used for fetch all data, Distinct statement used to return only different values,
